I was so blessed to be part of an awesome MOPS group this year. Even in the summer there were plenty of activities and one of the last events was a “Busy Bag Swap.” I couldn’t make it but at the first MOPS meeting of the season the coordinator brought me 15 activity bags. FIFTEEN!!! How luck was I! Just the perfect gift for a mama packing up an entire household and moving across the country. (BulldozerBaby unpacks boxes faster than I can get them loaded, labeled and taped.)
So what is a “Busy Bag Swap” you ask? Great question. This site explains it really well. Basically a “busy bag” is a self-contained bag of some sort of activity for a toddler/preschooler made for under $1 per bag. You get 15-30 of your best girlfriends together and everybody brings that many bags of the same activity and then you SWAP and come home with a ton of great free activities for your littles.
So I got to pack boxes (of toys!) in peace because the kiddos were entertained. Some of these ladies were SO creative!

I highly recommend hosting a “Busy Bag Swap” whenever you have the chance and especially before moving! Thank you to all the MOPS mommies who helped me out!
